Lurie Besikof Lapidus & Company, LLP is a proud sponsor of the 5th annual Minnesota Cup, a statewide competition that seeks out Minnesota’s newest and most innovative business ideas.

More than 1,000 entrepreneurs, inventors and creative minds submitted their breakthrough ideas and the semi-finalists have been announced. These 49 business ideas will now compete in the next round of the competition. See the 2009 finalists summary.

Lurie Besikof Lapidus & Company, LLP has been a sponsor of the Minnesota Cup since the contest’s inception in 2005 and partners Joel Lebewitz and Beth Kieffer Leonard are two of the judges for this year’s competition. Since 2005, around 2,500 contestants have entered the competition from every corner in Minnesota and more than $175,000 in prize money has been awarded. The competition is supported by Governor Pawlenty, DEED, the University of Minnesota and many others.
